Lovejoy's Debut Record That Was Once Coming "Soon" is Now "Almost There”

As previously joked about – the “s” word (“soon”) has become quite a sensitive words to fans of Lovejoy (also known as Lovenjoyers). Because Lovejoy have time and time again told fans that their debut record was coming “soon” and to be patient, and that “it’ll be worth the wait.” That was a few years ago.

But, finally, “soon” has quickly transitioned to “almost there” after Will Gold posted to the r/lvjy Subreddit a 56-second long video.

Himself and Mark Boardman are in the frame, surrounded by what seems to be 16 guitars in a relaxed studio setting. Rather than a sterile unwelcoming environment, Lovejoy have opted to create their debut in a colourful space.

However, we anticipate the “song” that Boardman and Gold were working on is not going to be on the album, given the first few lines:

“I’m afraid I broke a string,” Gold starts singing, “It’s such a shame we couldn’t finish this.”

There was little information provided in the clip besides the boys in a studio setting, but for a Lovenjoyer, that is enough to set ablaze questions as to – what is on the new record, do people like the rumoured tracks they know about so far, and essentially, when in the hell it’ll be dropped.

We have no estimates, but we pray for a summertime release.

In the meantime, you can keep up with Lovejoy on Instagram, TikTok, their new official Subreddit, their official YouTube, and their vlog YouTube channel.
