Lovejoy’s Summer Sonic Performance in Tokyo Televised
Lovejoy’s performances at this year’s Summer Sonic festivals have been floating around YouTube and social media for the last few months, with one fan even uploading the entire set to YouTube (not quite television quality, but thoroughly enjoyable), but this past Monday, October 28th, Lovejoy saw their performance televised in high definition on national Japanese television.
The program states that three songs of Lovejoy’s were televised: ‘Normal People Things,’ ‘Portrait of a Blank Slate,’ and fan favourite, ‘The Fall.’
However, when the band originally performed at Summer Sonic in Tokyo, their setlist featured ten songs from their discography:
‘Call Me What You Like’
‘One Day’
‘Cause for Concern’
‘Scum’
‘Concrete’
‘Wasted Summer’ – a live debut
‘I’ll Look Good When I’m Sober’
‘Normal People Things’
‘Portrait of a Blank Slate’
‘The Fall’
Unfortunately, those who are not subscriber’s to the WOWOW’s service will not be able to view the performance.
You can find the announcement of the televised performances here, and you can find the subscription service where the performance is available here.
As of now, Lovejoy is currently preparing for their exclusive Resources for Teaching Tour with three dates in the UK and four dates in the US.
With a low amount of tickets left, the band announced earlier this month the release of additional tickets for their 26th of November show in LA and their 1st of December show in LA. You can find tickets on retailer AXS’ website here.
Until the beginning of the tour, you can keep up with Lovejoy on Instagram, TikTok, their new official subReddit, their official YouTube, and their vlog YouTube channel.
